Knwon as the "Irritable One", Mafunyane had a perfectly matched pair of tusks, weighing in at 122lbs each, reaching to the ground and having a circumference of 19" at the lip line.
Joao's left tusk weighed in at 132 lbs and measured 8' 9", with a 22" circumference at the lip. The right tusk measured 8' 3" and weighed in at 121 lbs.
Kambaku’s enormous, perfectly symmetrical tusks, evenly matched as to length, weight, thickness and shape, were a distinguishing feature. The left tusk was 8 ft 6 in long, measured 20 in thick at the lip line and weighed 140 lb. The right tusk was 8 ft 8 in long, 20,5 in in circumference at the lip line and weighed 141 lb.

After five years of extensive research Alan Ainslie has completed the Magnificent Seven series of bronze sculptures and prints. Dr Anthony Hall-Martin, world renowned expert on the African elephant, knew these seven tuskers intimately and studied them closely. He assisted Alan with reference material and advice to ensure that each sculpture is true to life, making the individual editions and the sets unique collector's editions.
CORPORATE SERIES: Sets no. 1-25 can be purchased as individual sculptures while sets no. 26-30 have been reserved for corporate sets. Each set consists of 7 bronze elephants.
Size: Each sculpture weighs 65kg and measures 51cm at the shoulder.
